This is the table that decides the rest. Ask for a quantity in the unit a supplier quotes and the arithmetic is geometry. Ask for tons and it depends on the density of that particular stone, which is why no page here prints a figure in tons.
No page on this site gives a quantity in tons. Tons depend on the density of the specific material and how wet it is, and we do not have a source we can cite for that, so we do not print it. Ask your supplier for the tons per cubic yard of what you are buying.
